PhD student Joffrey Decourselle, who is collaboating with PROGILONE compagny, earned the "Best Poster" award at the 20th international conference on Theorical and Practice of Digital Libraries (TPDL), held september 5-9, 2016 in Hannover, Germany.
LIRIS takes part to a science mediation event about combinatorial games and artificial intelligence.
As part of a collaboration with Google Inc., with the University of Guelph, Canada, and with MIT, LIRIS designed an system for the automatic authentication of smartphone users.
The DGtal project (http://dgtal.org) has received the software award at the Symposium on Geometry Processing 2016 (june 20th-24th, Berlin).
In the context of a collaboration between LIRIS, CEREMADE (Paris-Dauphine) and Kyoto University, Nicolas Bonneel will present his work on barycentric coordinates for histograms at SIGGRAPH 2016 in Anaheim (CA).
SIGGRAPH is a major annual event in computer graphics, organized by the ACM. This conference benefits from between 10 and 20 000 attendees -- artists, researchers, companies -- and represents every aspect of computer graphics: rendering, photography, 3D printing, animation etc. This year, Nicolas Bonneel has been selected by the AFIG and GDR IGRV to cover this event that will take place in Anaheim in California, from July 24th to 28th, 2016.
The LIRIS organised the sixth international conference on Biologically Inspired Cognitive Architectures (BICA2015 http://liris.cnrs.fr/bica) -- a conference situated at the intersection between artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and neurosciences.

It is important to begin these few lines by introducing ourselves. We’re all members of the LIRIS research center with different functions: Professors, Assistant Professors, Researchers, administrative and technical staff, Ph.D. students, post-doctoral students, contract employees and trainees.

The 28th International Conference DEXA (DEXA 2017) will be held in Lyon on August/September 2017. Two french cities have organized DEXA in the past: Toulouse (1997, 2011), and Aix-En-Provence (2002).
